Ntfy Account Setup
River Oaks Church - Updated June 2025
Ntfy does not have an easy way to create accounts, and they need to be manually added via CLI.
To do this, log in to Proxmox via credentials previously emailed.
Locate the ro-ntfy virtual machine, and go to the console. VM login credentials are stored in Bitwarden.
The following commands let you setup your account. Please keep track of your own password. The passwords are hashed and stored securely on the server.
sudo ntfy user add --role=admin cole
(Obviously change Cole to your name/username. That string will be the username of the account.)
Enter and confirm your password.
That's all. You can log out of the vm (exit) and close Proxmox.
