Hospitality Mode Operation Guide

River Oaks Church - Updated January 2025

Welcome! To begin using the auditorium, start with waking up the touch screen by tapping the screen. Then, select the hospitality option to continue. Once you are in the hospitality mode, you can click the "ON" button to power the system on. This will power the audio, lights, and screens automatically.

This room has one primary method to present to the screens, and it’s using the HDMI and AUX cables in front of the touch screen. Throughout this guide, you will see this input labeled as “Aux HDMI”.

At the bottom of the screen, there are different tabs for individualized controls. The rest of this guide will break down each tab and explain the options inside of it.

Audio

On this screen, you will see a virtual audio mixer. For all 5 input sources, there is a label, fader, and mute button available. If the mute color is a more prominent red, the input is muted. If it is a dark red, the input is unmuted, and ready to use. The welcome and teaching mics are available for use, and are located in the wireframe basket at the bottom of the stairwell. Spare batteries are available near the touch screen. If you have dead batteries, please throw them away!

If your event requires use of the building, and you are approved to use the lobby and other rooms, you can select the YES option to broadcast audio to the building. Selecting this will display a slider that is available to adjust the volume of the audio being fed to the building. For individual room control, please adjust the volume in the room itself.

Lighting

This screen displays different lighting presets available. If you are running an event like a funeral, the funeral preset is recommended. If it’s a basic event with someone on stage, the “Stage + House” preset is best.

When you are done using the room, it’s vital to press the “RELEASE” button, which will correctly clear out the lighting presets you used, and reset the system for the next user. If you are having issues selecting presets, the “RELEASE” option is a good way to troubleshoot it.

Screens

The options on this view allow you to change the input to the projectors in the room. Listed below are the inputs and what they are.

  • worship-mains: Reserved for special situations where use of the computer is approved prior to the event.
  • AUX HDMI Cable: This cable is used to connect a laptop, DVD player, iPad, etc to the screens. The cable is left near the touch screen and is available for anyone to use.
  • Signage: The signage input is an always up to date, live feed of the announcements that are broadcasted throughout the building. This is ideal for the beginning and end of the event where you may want to highlight the events going on throughout the church.
  • Stage L SDI: This input is available on the stage left side of the stage, for a laptop on the stage to be used. There will be an HDMI adapter available, that will let you plug your laptop or computer into the input.

The Confidence Screen Video Source option will allow you to change the input on the screen that’s visible to the presenter on the stage. You have the option to mirror the projectors, or “RESET”, which will send nothing to the display.

Building

This page gives you the ability to set the input to the “Building Feed”, which is visible throughout the building, in rooms like the lobby, cafe, resource center, etc.

Additionally, the “Lobby Projector” option allows you to turn on or off the lobby projector, depending on if you need it or not.

SHUT DOWN INSTRUCTIONS

Once you are done using the room, make sure to navigate to the “Lighting” page to RELEASE the lights. Next, you will go to the “HOME” page to shut down the system. Select the OFF button and “CONFIRM” to turn the system off.
