River Oaks Church - Updated May 2025

For a video version of this document, click here.

The video version may cover different content than the written guide because it was created in 2024 and the written guide was revised later.

Operational review still required: the published links and assets were checked in August 2026. A current lighting operator must still verify Vista workflow, fixture numbers, presets, intensity guidance, and screenshots against the live auditorium show file before this guide is considered fully current.

Goals / Scope

Light programming has a few different scopes, and they are listed below.

  • Stage lights

    • These are the main lights pointing towards the stage.
  • Front lighting

    • These focused lights make sure everyone on stage is clearly visible.
  • Projectors (Background Videos)

    • We run the background videos you see behind the lyrics during worship using software called ProVideoPlayer.
  • LED and Pixels

    • We control the LED strip bars and LED "walls" using software called ELM (Enttec Light Mapper).
    • For more information related to pixels, and how they are mapped, please click here.
